Marko Calic delivered the defining performance of his professional career on Saturday night in Sopot, Poland, conquering hostile territory to claim the vacant WBC International Silver title in the bridgerweight division.
Facing Polish favorite Nikodem Jezewski in front of a partisan home crowd, the Fight Life boxer showcased composure, precision, and elite ring intelligence from the opening bell. Calic disrupted Jezewski’s rhythm with sharp, technical boxing and controlled the tempo throughout a demanding ten-round contest.
The judges’ scorecards left no room for debate: 98–92, 96–93, and 96–94 — all in favor of the visiting warrior. With the victory, Calic improves his professional record to 17–2 and secures the most significant title of his career.
Guided by head coach Kamran Kabinejad, the 38-year-old veteran proved that experience and discipline can prevail under the brightest lights. Since turning professional in 2016, Calic has built his reputation across Sweden as a technically refined and respected competitor.
After falling short in previous high-profile bouts against Joshua Buatsi and Albert Ramirez, Calic seized his moment in Sopot. This emphatic triumph not only crowns him WBC International Silver champion, but also marks a long-awaited breakthrough — a clear statement that Marko Calic belongs among the elite of the bridgerweight division.
